Botswana Diamonds collects promising exploration data in Kalahari desert

13:30 11/07/2018
StockMarketWire.com - Botswana Diamonds said the first exploration programme conducted at its Sunland Minerals joint venture in Botswana with Alrosa encountered 'good' quality mineralisation.

All eight anomalies sampled in the Kalahari desert reported good kimberlitic indicator minerals, the company said.

The grains include fresh chrome diopsides and olivines, suggesting a local source.

'The first Sunland exploration programme undertaken by BOD geologists has been successful,' chairman John Teeling said.

'Our next step forward is to analyse the diamond bearing capacity before we proceed to plan for a drilling campaign. I look forward to providing our shareholders with further updates in due course.'

At 1:30pm: (LON:BOD) Botswana Diamonds PLC share price was +0.08p at 1.05p
