Anglo African Oil & Gas gets well re-entry operations underway in Congo

StockMarketWire.com - Anglo African Oil & Gas said that well re-entry operations had now commenced at the Tilapia site in Pointe Noire in preparation for drilling the TLP-103C side track.

Engineers on site had commenced work to stabilise the well prior to re-entry and the company had also contracted Wire-Group to supply and install an isolation plug which was required to ensure the company had the necessary barriers in the well to enable re-entry.

The installation of the isolation plug, a rig-less operation, which provided the most cost-effective solution, utilising wireline services from Wire-Group, the company said.

The company also said it had continued discussions with the operators of two potential rigs, both currently situated in the Republic of the Congo, with a view to securing a drilling slot during November.
